Who is 3rd Degree?

3rd Degree is a producer from Lafayette, CA. He is known mostly for his melodic sampling and heavily chopped beats. 3rd Degree is heavily influenced by New York artists and follows that sound with a Bay Area twist. He combines classic elements from the 90's era with the ability to chop it into something modern. 3rd Degree uses everything from the latest software such as Reason and Pro Tools to classic machines such as the Ensoniq ASR 10.

How do I work with 3rd Degree?

Artists who are interested in working with 3rd Degree should show him material an artist has done, tell him what the goal of the project is, and any other information that is critical to allow him to understand the artist and there style. 3rd Degree will collaborate with artists free of charge if they are talented and driven but he will usually contact them first. Please don't merely ask for free beats. Artists who plan to sell there music on a mixtape or album should expect to pay.
