Biography

In a world where most mainstream music is all processed and sugar-coated, there are still musicians who manage to bring real heart and soul to the table. BillyD is a 26 year old R&B/Soul artist born and raised in Washington D.C., USA. Raised around different styles of music and cultures, BillyD has a well-rounded understanding of many types of music. He instilled this into his own music as he developed his own personal unique style.

Although still quite new to the Independent music scene, his arrival in 2008 was strong with the jazzy debut, "When Will I?" which allowed listeners to hear the smooth style and sound of a real passionate artist. He spent the next 2 years writing and producing the music that would make up the highly anticipated 2011 album debut, "The Impossible". It introduces him as a soulful artist with a story to tell. Truly emotional and moving music; songs about the rough path to overcoming all obstacles, prevailing amongst hardships, and surviving the storm of life's trials. BillyD is ready to keep making music that not only allows him to assuage the hurt and pain he has endured, but also to help others who have been through similar experiences to know they are not alone. The lyrics and message behind his music is deep, but this is his therapy and his release.

R&B music is not dead by any means. BillyD hopes to keep that standard going strong with his blend of real Heart & Soul music. The theme behind his music is motivating and powerful: "Anything Is Possible". Not afraid to try new things and devoted to staying to true to his vision, BillyD gives you nothing but his best and nothing less. He invites you on his emotional Journey with him and promises nothing but love, heart & soul.
