Biography

Hello, thanks for coming by and hearing some of my music. I guess I'm your basic garden variety classic-retro-rock-twang-blues-kinda/sorta'd like to play jazz-guitarist-songwriter-singer-still waiting to get that call to do a tour with Dylan kind of bloke. I'm originally from the Boston area but I've lived in Milan, Italy since 1990 (long story). I survive on a couple of day gigs that don't drive me too mad and play, write and record material whenever I can. Been trying to get a band together here and I have a small home studio set up and I enjoy trying to get happening sounds out of it.
BACKGROUND: I started playing in blues bars around New England in the early 1980s and eventually began writing my own stuff. After I came to Milan I backed up some local singers, picked up a few new chords & licks and got married. All pretty good moves. During the late '90s I wrote some things for Italian television, spent a lil' time on the road and tried to write material good enough to perform live. I eventually got to be friends with Scott Mathews (the big producer) and we did a record together called "Tough Love". A couple of things off it got used on Italian TV. Since then I've put out a couple of other records on the net and even taken a crack doing soundtrack stuff. Like someone (Sky Saxon?) once said, "If I don't make it by 65, I'm gonna get a real job!"
