Biography Corrado Rossi was born in Bergamo, Italy, and graduated in piano dedicating himself at the same time to the composition of both Neoclassical music (soundtracks and piano solos) and electronic music. His passion for home recording and his research into the beauty of sound and arrangements, led him, about two years ago, into the ambient genre where he has created a very personal style in which electronica blends with piano and orchestra and a clear melodic line is strengthened with chill-out rhythms. His first CD “Corrado Rossi” which came out in 2006 is predominantly an ambient style album, but it also contains a number of electronic soundtracks and tracks with just piano and orchestra. The CD contains 15 tracks including some collaborations with “The Wimshurst’s Machine”, an ambient/new-age ensemble from Turin. In the last months he released his new digital Album "Waitings" with all his Piano solos and Piano and Orchestra compositions. Musicians who have inspired Corrado Rossi are to be found amongst the leading composers from the 80’s such as Mike Oldfield, the Alan Parsons Project, Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis and Pat Metheney, along with other great composers and pianists such as Ennio Morricone, Keith Jarrett and Dave Grusin. Further details and a huge selection of his music is available on his personal Web site, where you can leave a comment, or clicking here. Thanks for taking the time and... enjoy! |

Flying East' just caught me as the other tune was ending, 'twinkle-tingle--glad they do that on our music list 'roller'...I'm just taken always by good eastern sounds; and you got me with that fine stringed instrument; sounds like a smaller sitar, & or course the tablas being my fave percusion instrument; just went out to my friend's music shop-full of all sorts of worldly percussives- and bought a nice one, just waiting to use it soon...shall see...
This is such a well produced piece, like the change to a bit of more western flair, still overlappig -married together -aweeping synth sounds create a bit of an ambient atmosphere- joyful realm you altered me into... this is truly a fave. Very expressive & dynamic. Like the piano coasting in for awhile. Fine mix... most pleasureable; I am loking to fly somewhere soon -done teaching- east sounds like a good idea. EXCELLENT**** Your wandering amigo tonite. -Vesa. |

'Eclipse'
Really had this one take me into this nice floating atmosphere...feels like the stewardess is asking something to me while a ride in this space craft of a musical cascading further into your cosmos... love that repeating of the same note on the keys; one of those things that can just make a nifty cool difference; often go un-noticed...you play with those finger with much meaning for every note; love it...always a fan of your piano music & other ceative instrument mixes, with all that might surround... Superb piece.**** Thank you Corrado for sharing this fine piece. Your friend. -Vesa. |

'Like A Flower' -a signature tune, perhaps, it'a all you; been awhile, but if someone played this for me& didn't tell who it was, I would come close to guessing you. You have this remarkable touch on the keys; I can feel every note as full of expression. This is a great atmosphere, serene, somewhat mystical, yes a nice ambience for sure. Great piece of music. A must 2nd or more listens. A fave now.
Good to hear from you Corrado. (I've just came out of the northern chilly Canadian tundra after teaching since last Sept.2007, mind you I've been back & forth flying home here to Thunder Bay. Now I really cherish the family together & a summer off (with pay), slowing down my time. Had a chance to do a number, -my sons are really getting helpful/talented, soon out of the house & to Toornto, well 2 of the 3 anyhow. 'My Lone Highway Blues' came about as motivation from them & my lonely nites often without family around; my wife Jennifer; she's an amazing lady. Take care; sorry to carry on. Se is a classical piano lover, wellllll, mmmm lol as well as Foo Fighters, lol and said to say she loved this piece too. Au revoir. Your good friend.-Vesa. |
