Biography
Hellrazor is a four-piece band hailing from Vancouver BC Canada. They play a unique, innovative and uncompromising mix of hard-rock and metal, inspired by the arena rock greats of the 70 and 80's. Groups such as Judas Priest, The Scorpions, Def Leppard, and Warlock instantly come to mind. Hellrazor plays "a rare brand of hard rock that has been tried by many and only mastered by a few" and has "very catchy, memorable songs that have you singing along with them instantly" -John Haseltine -Ballbuster Magazine At present the group is re-releasing their debut album "Feel The Sting" this summer, and featured here is the single "Never Too Late", a song that explores Hellrazor's softer side and is proof that a stripped-down, soulful ballad is every bit as powerful as a wall of Marshalls. Hellrazor is an exceptional group with great potential because their edgy-yet "commercial" sound has great cross-over appeal, and many different kinds of fans will be able to grasp and appreciate the band. Despite some turmoil within the last few years the group has worked diligently on honing their craft and are a very dedicated group of musicians. Hellrazor is a group primed and ready to defy and win-over the critics and naysayers with their carefully crafted and powerful music. To their credit Hellrazor has built a strong reputation for putting on spectacular live performances and is building up a cult-like following wherever they play. Hellrazor has performed at many of the highly coveted rock venues in Vancouver, including playing at The Roxy, Richards on Richards and The Plaza. Last summer the group also went on and had a successful 16,000km Western Canadian tour, all without the help of a record label or management support. Individual tracks from Hellrazor's debut "Feel The Sting" will again become available for purchase on 45 digital distribution sites such as Apple iTunes and Napster, and the entire album will also be able to be ordered at over 1600 record stores throughout Canada and the United States. Look for Hellrazor to be featured in an upcoming issue of "Metal Maniacs" and for their inclusion on the newly released compilation album of up and coming hard rock bands called "Strip Club Rock Vol.1". Hellrazor will be heard alongside the likes of current and former members of Ratt, Guns N' Roses, MC5, Aerosmith, Quiet Riot, Adler's Appetite, L.A. Guns, Rough Cutt and Dangerous Toys. Lastly, since February 21, 2006, Hellrazor's www.myspace.com/hellrazorband page has received over 130,000 profile views and 140,000 total song plays and these figures continue to grow. :devil:
