Song Information:
This song is a composition of a friend of mine, Th. Weibel. He also recorded it with me. The words are by Ilse Zacharias. Recording it was a very great fun. At first we had the idea to use a Oboe as the "lead-background-instrumument". But then we decided to take a Beatles-like guitar. I think, that was the a good choice. It wasn't easy to find the "right" genre. I think, it's Pop. Sounds a little like Avril and Beatles. What do you think?
Lyrics: 1. Like to be alone – yes I do! don't think that I'm less alone - just sitting here with you! I've so often been alone / I'm used to it, you see feeling all content / at ease with me!
2. Never liked to be in a crowd always felt unhappy at those places where it's loud! But no noise can be so bad/ as silence seems to be when you’re around and cross with me
3. But I never feel so utterly alone, you see, as I do when you’re around, and you’re so cross with me I’m embarrassed and depressed and paralyzed and blue Don’t know how to move - what to say - what to do When you’re sitting here and never say a word, you see, just to show how cross you are with me! Oh, I never feel so utterly alone, you see, When you are here - and cross with me
4. Say "goodbye" and I won't be sad! If you can't be nice again, - don't stay and drive me mad! Always like to be with you - whenever you are kind! So it's up to you! Just make up your mind!
5. Chorus
6.The days should be sunny, you've turned them to rain Life's short and precious, honey! No time to waste...come on and smile again!
7. Solo
8. When you’re sitting here and never say a word, you see, just to show how cross you are with me! Oh, I never feel so utterly alone, you see, When you are here - and cross with me |
