Biography

Lavendere's gentle approach comes across as misty, dark emotional poetry set to motion. The vocals are heartfelt and honest and James Oscar's tone is familiar like the taste of rich black coffee....Every track seems to host a palatable mood of haunting depression and sublimity, and some even reminiscent of love songs of yesteryear with deep , dark undertones bordering on the edge of sinister. A one man operation, James Oscar writes what he feels and doesn't care much for mainstream acceptability. Having an older brother who is a guitar instructor, James has been around music all his life, and as far as he is concerned, that is all there is to his life. Unconventional and subtle, and as he described it, "I hang out in left field...so if you're playing infield you'll never catch it."......." I write what I feel, and feel what I write."
