Biography

1. No More Chances is my very first song posted on Mixposure! I wrote the words, and collaborated with the musician Gavin Beckwith. Lauren Derwent is our wonderful singer.  I am delighted to have this song come to life with such style. x

2. Breathe Back In is my second collaboration, and one that is very special to me because of the friendship I have built up with these two amazing musicians. I am very grateful to Gina and Rick for bringing these words to life in the most amazing and beautiful way. x

3. Lady of the Moon is a very haunting song and the sadness has been captured beautifully with Holley Hall's unplugged 12 string vocal. Thank you Holley for all your hard work and for understanding the words! I appreciate they were not the easiest of lyrics to work with, so thank you for your patience. x

4. Dark Eyes was a Finalist in the UK Songwriting Contest and I am delighted that Selftort, (Brian) took the words and turned them into a sultry, moody song, and really listened to how I always imagined these words to come to life. Thank you Brian for all your hard work and smiles. Cheers Beers! x

5. Stepping Bravely was a Semi-Finalist in the UK Songwriting Contest so I am delighted that Dusty Burch chose these lyrics. He has given life to them in the most gentle and sensitive way, and captured the true love within the words perfectly. I thank you Dusty, it is just beautiful! x

6. If you like listening to Folk Rock with a Celtic touch you will love this collaboration with Marijan. This is a song that would be beautiful in a fairy style, magical movie!! In My Dreams is just perfect and I thank you Marijan for all your hard work at such a difficult time. With love Melsi x

7. Miss You Song, is such a pretty song about love, and how missing someone helps you to realise that maybe this is 'it'. Papi worked so hard on producing this pretty and gentle song, with his simply stunning voice and the little extra's such as the train. I am grateful for all his hard work on giving these words life and for his wonderful imagination. Thank you Papi. x

8. Wheel of Life was written a long time ago for Rick (Reaper). I was so delighted this song has become his, and so happy with this amazing and beautiful production. I would like to thank Rick for all his hard work, and also the bonus of having Kephas come on board with his added wonder, and of course dear Gina, (WHP) for her 'ear', and advise. Thank you all for this beauty!

9. You Loved My Way has been given life by the wonderful Diego B. His soft vocal and delicate music tells a sad story of how love can remain constant for one partner, even when it is obvious that love has left the other. You can't force someone to stay in love! Thank you Diego for your hard work with my lyrics, and for your understanding of the meaning behind them. Hugs. Melsi x

10. Dark Eyes (2) just had to be posted so you could hear the wonderful and beautiful Tenor Sax Melodies of the talented Alexis Van Eeckhout.  This was always a wonderful and moody song thanks to Brian, but Alexis has really contributed to bringing that extra dark and jazzy feel. Many thanks Alexis for your precious time. Melsi x

11. I have to thank Eric, (Blue Period Blues) for producing a really beautiful little jazzy, funky song here with Footprints, and for all his hard work and time. This is such a light, happy song, and he has given it life perfectly in his own special way. Thank you so much Eric for the laughs along the path! Hey!! Big Hug, Melsi x 

12. I would like to thank The Autumnleaf for their hard work and friendship in producing this wonderful rock song, Let Me In. I would also like to thank Jay for his stunning vocal and for his patience. Luckily he is a perfectionist like me!! LOL Jay, Suresh, Paul, and Manoj you have produced a quality song here and I thank you all. Melsi x

13. Please enjoy the wonderfully unique style and vocal of Saladin-de-Tolosa singing Dream Away. Sal has put his own individual style to these dreamy words,  performing with the acoustic guitar (left), slide, tele, and bass drums to give these words life. I would also like to thank Richard John for his additional acoustic guitar (right)! Thank you for all your hard work. Melsi x

14. I wanted to write some words that were a little more raunchy than usual, so who better than to bring them to life, than Brian's rich and throaty vocals! Hold Me Back is a really catchy song, with music that wraps around the lyrics perfectly! Thank you as always Brian for all your hard work. I think you nailed this one! Cheers Beers! Melsi x

15. Holley Hall has produced a wonderful song in Be A Guiding Star, against all odds, (snowstorms, power cuts to name a few). She has also been incredibly understanding of the way that I hoped the words would come to life. With her 12 String Guitar, Electric Guitar, 2 Mandolins and Midi-Drums, I think she has done an amazing job! Thank you so much Holley. Phew, go have a cup of tea now Hol. LOL Thank you to Papi also for adding base to this.  x

16. I would like to thank Papi for bringing these special words to life in the most sensitive and beautiful way. Can You is a sort of love song from the grave. When my father passed away,  I wrote these words as if from him, for my mother who was at the same time having to deal with cancer. Papi your stunning voice and gentle manner has truly produced a loving song. I thank you for your gift, and for your understanding of each line. With love, Melsi x

17. Lattice Window (Secret Dream) is a really uplifting and happy song, produced, music and instrumentals by Mike Lynn (Mystsongs), with the bonus of having Richard John's wonderfully unique vocals bringing it to life. I am so pleased your first collaboration was a happy one for you Mike, I think you have done a wonderful job here, and the words seemed perfect for your style. 18. Thank you Marijan for this beautiful, passionate folk rock ballad. Heaven's Way was just meant for you and your wonderful instrumentals, and spiritual heart! Thank you. x

19. I wrote the words for Little One for every father who has held his new born baby daughter in his arms for the very first time. From birth to eternity, that love and that bond will endure all. Marijan has captured this emotion and this love with beauty. Thank you. x

20. Tears Run Dry has been a great collab, and I really enjoyed working alongside Les Kutsera on this little blues song. I would like to thank Richard Kociszewski for his bass guitar, Ashley Brydges for his amazing vocals and Gordon on the drums for all their hard work on this great project! x

21. Thank you to Marijan for another sensitive and beautiful Folk Ballad - Angel is very special and I thank Marijan for all his hard work and wish him well. Keep up the fight my friend! x

22. Daisy Girl was inspired by the memories of my eldest sister Carol walking around in the 60's barefoot with a daisy chain around her hair. Thank you to Holley Hall and Phillip Hartley for capturing that moment in time perfectly. x

23. A big thank you to Wolfgang and Marijan ('Young Remained) for this wonderful Folk/Rock song. Our Love Has Drifted is just beautiful.

24. Thank you Brian for another wonderful song in Love Blindness, a song about a relationship breakdown. You have captured the loneliness perfectly with your rich vocals and subtle instrumentals. Cheers Beers. x

25. Richard John has really pulled together a sweet song here in Thank You Maybe. Quite bitter words, but performed in such a calm and relaxing way. Beautiful guitar work! Thank you Richard!! LOL x

26. Thank you to Diego B for this sweet and gentle little song, On My Way Home, capturing the love and excitement of the journey back home for a traveller! Thank you for all your hard work, and hope your ears are better! LOL x

27. A big thank you to Linda (Marie Ponte) for her hard work on Where I Lay My Head. I think you will agree Linda's vocals are beautiful bringing together a really catchy song. Thank you Linda for all your work and dedication on this collab! x

28. Thank you Hol for another wonderful song. Just Stop Not Living is beautiful in its simplicity and tells this ghostly love story perfectly. Holley does Country! LOL x

29. Thank you to Marijan for turning Our Love Has Drifted into a ballad. I said that I always thought this song would be perfect sung by a woman, and luckily for me Marijan agreed. A big thank you to Petra Schlichter, (lead singer of German band Kassandra) for putting her beautiful vocals to this song. x

30. Congratulations Mike (Lynn) for producing a sweet and tinkly little Christmas song in Angels Blessings. Jasmine's beautiful vocals fit this dear little song perfectly. This is a heart warmer for sure! x

I have a growing collection of lyrics and am happy to write lyrics to fit your music, (well I am happy to try). I am always on the look out for musical minds to bring my lyrics to life. 

I love writing, and especially, I love writing lyrics. I pick up a word, a sentence, a conversation and jot it down and just find the lyrics come really easily. Since joining Mix I have been really busy working on lyrics and I have met some really encouraging and lovely musicians. Thank you Lex for advising me to join this site.

She stopped by to try and cut a vocal track but she is so congested, we pulled the plug in a short 5 minutes. Ash is on all kind of meds, she is in our prayers, don't know what this means for a singing career. Thanks again for your concern-!!
