We were born at a relatively young age and then raised by a family of brown bears. On a visit to the zoo one day we learned we were appreciably different than our brown bear adoptive family. Our brown bear parents had tried to shield us, but we discovered the truth. No matter how much they loved us, and we them, our lives changed. They had to. Although we have since shed most of our brown bear ways - in all candor some of us are still working on their table manners - we cherish the memory of the sweet-sad smiles on our adoptive brown bear family's faces that fateful day we discovered the truth.
