Biography I've been at since the mid 60's. :D Started taking lessons on the mandolin at 9 then added guitar when I turned 12. Stopped formal training when I hit 16 and started learning everything I could: Santana, Deep Purple, Savoy Brown, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep, and a lot more. Then, in 1973 I discovered Blue Oyster Cult and a great friend in Donald (buck dharma) Roeser who I had the honor of building a duplicate to my SG for. He used it for years at live shows and it became his guitar of choice when playing "Dont Fear The Reaper" At 20 I began trying to compose my own music and at 23 started a mostly original band, we did a few select covers. Did that for the next ten years. That part of my life then ended for numerous reasons but I continued to jam along with friends and to the stereo in my home. Now I'm back at it, writing and recording music in my cozy room at my home in the country. I dedicate all my music to my wife, ...Gina..you all know her as wildhoneypie ;) |

Hi Rick,
Thanks for the kind words. What a way to be welcomed to a community. I really like Stiletto. I really like the thinker guitar sound. Sounds like you may have been using the neck position. I am in the process of moving but I hope to have time in the next couple of weeks to listen to some more of your tracks and to explore other peoples work also. Brad |

Hey Rick,
On "Echoes of Flight" Another top notch guitar performance. Creates a nice mood. I like the way the keys work the rhythm behind the guitar. Thanks again! John Fiore |

Hi Rick. Charade. Now this is another fine track.I like the very subtle rhythm happening on this track. Your lead guitar is pulling me to a Eric Johnson vibe on this one.Excellent work. Nice and tight production. All your songs so far are like a magic carpet. You get a unbelievable view of the world while riding on your music. Thanks for that. See you again shortly. Peace RJ

"34BLues": Rick- I haven't been here in a while, I haven't forgotten how much your playing truly moves me. Interesting take on the blues solid 3/4 groove which in itself is unusual for a blue track; but it works well my friend. Nice organ accents.

Hi Rick! Far Away. Nice! It must be a blast to play a guitar like that!! Not just a solo, but a whole song. You do it every time. I think they have a name for musicians like you... "virtuoso".I hear the talent of Slash in you, and to me that is almost religious! Again, very cool work!! Peace me Amigo... RJ

Hi Rick! I,m listening to Echoes of Flight. I'd swear this was a Santana tune. I like the piano, and synth work. But your guitar is what makes these tracks happen. I hear your influences all over this track, and some that you have not mentioned. Nice tight track, professionalism at its best! Thanks for the music! peace RJ

Charade: Had to come by for another listen. This one has hints of Pink Floyd I enjoyed the tone change at about 1:20. What's good to hear is knowing you play FAST, but choose not to everytime - this song needed the breathing room that you gave it. It was exciting to listen to without sacrificing a good mood that you set.

Stiletto: This is so doggone smooth - I am jealous. The Santana influence is clear: very nice. You play with a lot of passion and squeeze lots of expression out of your guitar. Really - this is well done. Gina is blessed and very happy to know your efforts are dedicated to her. We are ALL very glad after a few years of not playing, that you're back at it. This stuff is sweet.

Hi,
Thank you very much for your comments on my song "Fantasy" - my strongpoint is not really the technical side of "production" so I'm exceptionally glad you liked it! I listened to Stiletto - being a Joe Satriani and Santana fan I really enjoyed the feel of the song, has a really cool vibe! Thanks again Letitia |

Thanks for the comment on Say Nothing. It's funny you brought that song up. We've been working on doing that song in a more upbeat way, using sevenths, instead of minors. Gives it a little more attitude. Have a great day.
