Biography
How much time do you have. I'm an old rocker in his mid 50s. A lawyer by day but a lover of music at heart. Played in a band called "Sirrah" in Sydney, Austalia in the early to mid 50s and just as the band started to disintegrate started writing original material. Work, marriage and kids then took centre stage until the 90s when, by accident I got involved in another band called "Mid Life Crisis".
Again started writing original material just as the band started to break up. Is there a theme emerging here? Got a chance to get a gig as a "1 man band" playing covers and have been doing it for the last 7-8 years.
A couple of years ago I found OMDs and as a result was inspired to pursue writing and recording.
Released my first CD "N.I.C" in March 2006. I am part way through my second CD, an instrumental CD and a collab CD with my old mixposure mate, Lex Zaleta. Through mixposure I was involved in a number of collabs, all of which I am proud of.
At the moment splitting my time between family, work, playing as a 1man covers band (with a few originals thrown in), playing originals in an acoustic setting in local Sydney pubs, writing and recording. In my spare time I still, despite my advanced age play competitive soccer and cricket.
Love listening to music and am always willing to give my two cents worth by way of a review. Always open for a collab if anyone's interested.

Listening to Day at the Races. Great song and great recording!

Hey Brian,
This song cool in every way. Great hook, well sung, well played. Has a bit of Steely Dan quality to it. One of my all time favorite bands from the 70s and 80s. You are one of my all time favorite players from now my friend. Good going on this.

Hey,
I should have waited a longer Salvation Carnival is also straight up my alley. Like the subtle double vocals and that sparse arrangement. it gives space for the vocal .
Listened to Cant stop thinkin about you. its also really cool! Nice piano and drum lines.
You are very productive
Long time !
I really like that unreleased track Tortology. I liked most that tone of voice. Its really great and that steady cadence (like in modern "beats")
Good one...its a track I'll listen to again
Regards Patrick

Hello Brian! Thanks so much for visiting - got me just curious enough to come hear what is going on with you! So off I, I owe, I owe, I owe! lol... to listen to you~~ lol... having fun yet? :)

Thanks for the words, Brian! I always am happy when someone listens, and even happier when they have something to say, as you always do. Thanks for the Zappa and Jack Bruce comments, two of my favorite artists, no doubt. I've been challenged to work harder at making the guitars more interesting, rather than doing flashing tempo changes and production tricks... that's the hardest thing. Much appreciated, as always!
Peace,
Jim

Hi there! Thanks for the warm welcome! It's really great to be getting back into the music scene again. My wife and I opened a new business a couple years ago and that has consumed so much of our time. I will be recording a new album this year along with my daughter, Veda Faith. I'll have a listen to some of your new stuff.
