Shane Ammon O’Brien
Due to the upsurge that I am seeing all around me- the upsurge of false precepts that are embraced and promoted in the world and related issues, I state my position- , my views and desires regarding the choice between which spirit to favour- in the battlefield between two opposing sides; good and evil, darkness as opposed to light.. – This is a statement of my desire to give heed to the commandments of God - and stand in opposition against the deceptions, the temptations, the counterfeits and falsehoods that proceed from the spirit of evil and darkness.
NOTE: consider a large room divided in half by a wall- thus forming two rooms. In one room is a light bulb hanging from the ceiling- the light is on and the room is typically light. The adjacent room , is pitch dark and has no light source. The darkness is total. A door between the two rooms opens. QUESTION, can any of the darkness flow into the light room ? NO. But, can the light intrude into the darkness and mitigate it ? thus causing the dark room to be lightened ? Yes. Again, not a single nuance of dark from the unlit room has any power to encroach into the light room. My point, Darkness , is feeble and powerless when faced with light. In my opinion, I am seeing many people choose darkness as their realm of interest. I want no part of it. I seek the light, and I will sacrifice my sins in order to live and walk according to light.
NOTE: While this statement of my sentiments may sound judgemental upon other people- it actually is not. The person I judge is ,, Shane Ammon O’Brien – in the question of wether I am keeping the commandments of God or not, and where I might improve. I do acknowledge that there are many people that are great examples of good humanity. Thus , with all respect where it is due, I state these considerations that shape my thinking and my actions.
There is a fact that i see unfolding daily all around me and across the world- that a powerful slide of immorality and lustful nature rages like a wildfire in today's world.
I'm not refferring only to adultry, pornography and lusts, the downward slide to worldliness i refer to is te general spirit which leads people to embrace false doctrines, reject the truth of the Holy Bible and the rest of the scriptures, ignoring the commandments of God such as, thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain, and Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.... etc. Worldiness that would have us, easily able to make time on Sundays for being all involved in sports on TV, yet , no tme , to read the scriptures and attend Church. etc.
This powerful current is enticing- but is as a lure on a fish hook that brings death to the fish that takes the lure. Thus the following considerations , i do keep always in the foremost frame of mind-
1-Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all else, shall be added unto you.
2- a time of great tribulation is about to rush upon the world and upon this nation- therefore, now is the time to seek the Lord and strengthen faith. Urgently, i take my own advice, and every person should do so also. Abandon falsehoods , counterfeits and deceptions - and find the truth. I could tell the whole world right where it is, however, in my experience, no one pays any heed to what i say- you'll have to seek and find.
3- i desire the riches that the Lord can give me, not the lures of the vanity of the world.
4- I declare by word, and by my own example- we must flee out of spiritual Babylon now!
It is true that there are many good and honest people around, yet also, there are many who revel in darkness. Who love to create works that glorify darkness- and also many profess righteousness yet they reject the true light that God has sent into the earth and claim that which is righteouse to be evil.
The tragic fruits of this love of darkness is about to burst upon this nation - and misery shall be in abundant supply. Turn unto the Lord our God with fasting and prayer and he is eager to pardon.
The Lord is not a vicious being. He is full of love and mercy- and He desires to pour out His blessings upon all who will seek righteousness and truth- equity and justice . However, think how during His mortal ministry, the people called for his crucifixion and mocked him. And still today - wickedness abounds. The Lord will recompense unto every man according to that which his deeds, and also the thoughts and intents of his heart have been. -
Now -- is the chance to seek truth, repent of wickedness, and strengthen ones faith in the truth - which is in Christ. For when the underpinnings of peace that we still enjoy in USA and UK, when these underpinnings of peace buckle and give way to the day of tribulation that fast approaches, it will be much much harder to find that truth of which i speak, and to strengthen ones footing in it.
