Biography

I've been at since the mid 60's. :D Started taking lessons on the mandolin at 9 then added guitar when I turned 12. Stopped formal training when I hit 16 and started learning everything I could:  Deep Purple, Savoy Brown, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep, and a lot more. Then, in 1973 I discovered Blue Oyster Cult and a great friend in Donald (buck dharma) Roeser who I had the honor of building a duplicate to my SG for. He used it for years at live shows and it became his guitar of choice when playing "Dont Fear The Reaper" At 20 I began trying to compose my own music and at 23 started a mostly original band, we did a few select covers. Did that for the next ten years. That part of my life then ended for numerous reasons but I continued to jam along with friends and to the stereo in my home. Now I'm back at it, writing and recording music in my cozy room at my home in the country. I dedicate all my music to my wife, ...Gina..you all know her as wildhoneypieWink

Hi Rick & Gina :)
Seeing Gina on facebook lately.. is she addicted to gaming now? lol... I like many of the games there. When my plate gets to full, I tend to go off by myself and unload playing games! lol.. silly me.
Would be cool to incorporate a game within music sites such as this. Inner-active gaming among the musicians/artists. Just a thought...
Anyway, dropping by to wish you both well, and dang-it your background picture makes me want to go fishing! Relax, relax, relaxing! (except when I have to stun-gun a worm to put it on the hook!) lol... Hope all is well! :)

Thanks. I tried a double lead with a slide using a Gretsch Jet...a Les Paul type, but ALL maple...neck, back-wood, and the cap. It is chambered as well which makes it a semihollow body, but with the snarl of a Les Paul...but buttier becuse the Bigsby tailpiece is much further back; an improvement over the Gibson design because the tailpiece is not right behind the bridge as a Gibson Les Paul. The Gretsch is less muddy on the rythym pickup, but with all the warm overtones, but with a truer archtop sound. Heavy as hell though! Much more versatile guitar. I am glad you liked it..the project is done except the vocal-track(s).

By the way, I had an old early 70's SG quite sinilar to what you display. I like the way you seem to have the tailpiece back a bit further than the solidbody Gibsons are constructed...unless I am hallucinating...just kidding.

Yeah, thanks for the encouragement there...we have not done the vocal tracks yet on this project. You are right. The Beatles were the first to get away with so long a song. Thanks. BRANCH

It’s nice to see people still appreciate a simple acoustic piano tune.
Thank you so much for your comment.
Hey we have something else in common. Mandolin was my first instrument also. There was about 25 of us on all kinds of mandolins and acoustic guitars.
All the best in the new year.
Don’t be a stranger.
Cheers,
Tad.

Wow, what a playlist! But when I got to Guarded Dreams, I truly fell in love. The continual background flow, the blended harmonies, the insistent guitar riffs... this is rock-solid! I love it!

Loved lost in the haze.
Great great song.

The guitar was floating in such a smooth way...and you chose the right effects to it. Feels like they carry a small echo on them...and its perfect.

Awesome song man.
And thank you for the review :)

Hi,
Shadows is a wonderful, moody piece...very memorable, and I hear the influence of early Pink Floyd there if I am not mistaken. Great vocals and lyrics. A piece you must be proud of.
