Hey, guys, WES here (aka MISTER NERVOUS): I just found out mixposure is back so I am too.
THE GIANTS: Nice. This is like a new benchmark for you guys. One of the most intense and thoroughly thought-out and arranged pieces I've heard from you. Beautifully textured open leading to another of Shane's soaring vocal performances, but I'm getting a more dramatic feel and deeper lyric imagery than in previous DEEP trax. Todd's drums push the crescendos and add superb support and color to the quieter passages.Excellent dynamics and strong playing throughout this moving soundscape (Michael's guitars were never more effective or emotionally charged!).
You guys are really keeping this cinematic hard rock form alive and kickin' with your work.

"Day of Destruction" - It's rain & thundering here in NJ. Love the heavy rhythm following the gentle rain sounds, the musical surprise was welcome and shook me out of the haze I thought I was going into. The vocal effect was nice, it all fit the rhythm. This was well played, I enjoyed the harmonies when they crept up on me. Lead guitar tone was right on target. The organ added that sinister dangerous, dramatic feel that you were going for. Nicely done. Excellent production. I'll be back for more. This was good stuff.

Shane, I'm one half of The Daily News. I do the drum programming, some of the vocals, I'm the chief lyracist, and Ked says I'm a evocatuer, whatever that is, and do some of the sound effects and such. Ked is the guitarist, bass player, does half the vocals, some of the sound effects and does all the mixing and mastering of the finished tunes. And Ked provides the extra 5-pounds of inspiration to the creation of the music.

Peace,
Jim

'Deep in the Sky' has a solid sounding guitar rockin forth, with such nifty stereo panning...always love your vocals Shane...(one of my top 5 fave singers; if yu don't mind;-too late I said it)--these lyrics are really well written, your voice stands out even with the heavier rock backup...very nice mood change, tempo as well. Like the atmosphere, so dynamic, & really EXPRESSIVE..the guitar seers away, & gotta love the pumpin bass, very low & likable...Great arranging;
fine talent here -great chemistry.
SUPERB**** Really enjoyable in everyway.
-Your friend & fan. -Vesa.

I LOVE this. This is how rock music is supposed to sound. The vocals ans guitars counter-pointed by those wonderful subtle synths and tyhe great tunes is a winning combination.

Ok, what do we have here? My opinion [for what its worth] is that we have some very finely constructed sound production and a delightful musical sensitivity that fits into my personal music taste zone like an old friend. There are two distinct [yet complementary] things happening here. The band/musicians know what they are doing with the instruments and vocal. The lyrics show a depth of feeling and meaning that will take more than one listen to discern. The sound engineering and mastering is very very good. Relationships between all frequencies is well thought out and everything 'sits' just where it should. The 'space' given to each instrument to have its moment is tasteful and intelligent musically. No boredom factor here at all for me, section lengths are just right. I really like this music and vocalist/lyricist. Great work.

Sure love the rhythm of this one. Great bass groove. Nice eastern touch in there. Fine guitar soloing;tasty. Like the percussives; sounds like tablas. Great smooth riding song with a slight edge.

'Beyond the Vail', has a most cool flowing breeze weaving through it, with the great vocals carrying much of the music. Nice efx. Good complimenting instruments, esp. the guitar. Nice strings. Good percussion. Ecerything in its right place. Fine guitar soloing without taking from the singing.
Excellent.
Take care Shane. You have a most distinct powerful vocal; wonderful. -Vesa.

Welcome! I am REALLY glad you guys are here for purely selfish reasons... I love you music!

You have joined an elite group of Artists who I consider... well... Elite. (see, that's why I do instrumentals - words are not my strength.) ;)

Anyways, welcome aboard. Glad you're here. Check out the Forum some time when you're bored. The social/discussion side of the site can be just as entertaining as the Artist side.
